Would Mentor classic smooth be much more likely to rippling than Mentor Xtra smooth?

Please understand the sentences that are not perfect because English is not my first language. My band size is 71cm and bust is 81cm. And my skin is sort of thin. I want to insert a 350cc implant underneath my muscles. Under these conditions, would mentor classic be much more likely to cringe than mentor xtra?

Between Mentor Classic Smooth and Mentor Xtra Smooth, the Xtra Smooth implant is typically the better option for minimizing rippling. It contains a more cohesive silicone gel and often has a firmer shell, helping the implant maintain its form and reducing surface irregularities under delicate tissue.

It is a very good choice to have it placed under the muscle.  This is your best insurance against rippling, although you might expect to feel the implant on the outer side of the breast.  The Mentor extra is more cohesive, and may decrease the risk of rippling a little.  Unfortunately, nothing is guaranteed when the tissue coverage is so minimal.  Good luck with your surgery.

Thank you for your question. It would be helpful to provide photos and the base dimensions of your breasts. That being said yes the regular gel implant has a slightly higher risk of rippling than the Xtra gel implant. You should discuss this with your PS. I hope this helps

Hello ! Mentor has a newer implant that they came out with to help with for patients with thin skin. Speak with your surgeon about Mentor BOOST implants. The BOOST implants also do not have to go under the muscle. Good luck

Hello thank you for your question. All implants will wrinkle the Xtra cohesive mentors tend to have less of a ripple affect. speak to your plastic surgeon about what they think. Sometimes for patients with less natural breast tissue we suggest a fat transfer to help cover some of the ripple affects.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
