Possible rash 8 months after breast implants? (Photo)

Question

I just noticed this on the underside of my right breast and wanted to know if it was something I should be concerned about? It’s slightly tender to the touch but otherwise not bothersome. Thanks!

Hello, thank you for your question. I would speak to your plastic surgeon about your concerns and they can examine and assess to rule out infection. It shouldn't be tender to touch if it is a skin rash.

It's best to visit with your surgeon or a dermatologist for an evaluation.  It could be related to an irritation by clothing, perhaps a reaction to being hot/sweating, or something else.  Keep the area clean and dry until your appointment.

You might start to find an answer for your rash with a visit back to your plastic surgeon,  Skin allergies are more likely to be itchy than painful.  If this visit does not result in a definitive answer, your plastic surgeon may suggest that you see a dermatologist for advice.
