Question

Hello, I had a breast augmentation 3 months ago, going on 4 months now. I was told by my surgeon that I had asymmetry and he had to place two different size implants left: 440cc right: 370cc. So I was told to be patient and that they would drop and be symmetrical at 3 months. I’m at 3 months and well one breast is bigger then the other and I’m not sure if this normal. I don’t like the look of the breast implants so far and I’m afraid I’m may need a revision because it was not done correctly.

Breasts are not identical and not mirror images. Your result appears very good considering what you began with. It is possible to reposition the nipple-areola complex to correct the asymmetry. This can be done under local anesthesia. In terms of volume, you may need a larger implant for the smaller breast but your result is very good.

I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.You will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.

You are going to have to except that he everybody has some asymmetries and that one breast might be slightly larger or smaller than the other.  Certainly, nothing was done incorrectly. The larger side is bottoming out some and it is sitting a little bit lower. the implant could be exchanged and the inferior pocket could be tightened to make things more symmetrical. Your breasts were not identical to start and may not be identical after surgery.

In general, it's difficult to achieve exact symmetry even with additional procedures such as limited lifts. If you are not happy, you can consider adjusting your size in one or both breasts.

First off, your result is beautiful. There is a slight size a symmetry that could be corrected by going up one implant size on your left side. Overall, everything else looks wonderful. I don’t think your doctor did anything wrong at all.
