augmentation 8 years ago, I have Natrelle Allergen High Profile Smooth round silicone 350ccs. Style 20. I hate them, they are wide, I look top heavy and over weight. One implant has capsulated ! I will need revision I can’t figure out if it’s the profile or the ccs that’s the problem. 1) do I keep 350cc choose a different profile and get capsulectomy? 2)Do I go down to 275 ccs and keep that high profile. 3) Or go to 275cc moderate profile. I’m 135 lbs petite and hate looking overweight
Answer: Mini lift with smaller implants If you are having capsular contacture then that is a problem and you will need this corrected. The problem is your implants are high and your breast tissue is low. You needed a lift at the time of your augmentation. At this time, I recommend a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, smaller implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Considering options If you feel you are top heavy you will want to consider smaller implants and lifting the breasts. Selecting the right size and profile to meet your goals is best done in person with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: High profile VS moderate The appearance of the upper body depends a 200 on our bone structure. Yours is naturally wide: shoulders, back and waist, so the best you can do to reverse that is to make your upper body slimmer: always be at a BMI closer to 25, your breast no larger than a regular C cup and create a slimmer waist and a bit more volume to hips/buttocks/thighs. Your breast is saggy, the capsule contracture makes appear the implants higher and creates a total imbalance of your chest. So you will be a great candidate for a Capsulectomy, change of implants, breast lift which will reduce automatically the breast about one full cup size, so most likely the reduction of implants to 275-300 moderate profile and the mastopexy will be the best option for you. I would add a little liposuction to abdomen and waist. Use the fat to transfer and add moderate volume to hips. Be encouraged. Dr. Cardenas.

Answer: Breast revision You can get smaller implants. The profile won’t matter much. You really need a lift. The sagging if the breasts makes them look larger than if they are lifted.

Answer: Implant size Dear Tammyof4, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
