Cool sculpting on arms?

It is very common to treat the arms with Coolsculpting; however, you need to be the right candidate for this area. There are applicators that work well on the arms, but the ideal candidate will have a specific distribution of fat. I recommend finding a very experienced Coolsculpting technician to assess you to find out if you are a good candidate for treatment of the arms. Best of Luck, 

You sound pretty educated on the applicators and what cool sculpt can do for you! You are correct, we use the cool fit applicator on the arms in ideal conditions and patients. They are still an off label area for cool sculpting. We do perform arms and have not had any issue with lumps however without large clinical data on this area and the possibility of ulnar nerve issues, make sure you go to a reputable center with a physician overseeing the program.

CoolSculpting for the arms is considered an off-label treatment, but many physicians perform it on this area successfully. At my practice, we often treat the upper arms with CoolSculpting with great success. The key is to visit a board-certified dermatologist with experience in off-label uses of CoolSculpting to ensure the best results. 

Many people use coolsculpting on arms with good results, I have seen many bad ones however that I have repaired using Sculpsure or liposuction.  I suggest seeing a body contouring specialist.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi Kanika. CoolSculpting is FDA approved for the abdomen, flanks, thighs and chin. We do use it off label in areas like the arms with great results in the appropriate candidates. There is a special applicator which works great for the arms. We have had this applicator since 2013. The information you received is not accurate. Make sure you find an experienced provider as not everyone is a suitable candidate for treatment of the arms. Hope this helps answer your question!

Yes this is a very common area where coolscupting is performed in our practice with generally excellent results. The applicator which is used depends upon the specific deformities.

Yes!  CoolSculpting for upper arms can be very successful!  This treatment is called off label use, but we have found that on the right candidates it works beautifully. The 'bump' you have read about is when the adapter is place too far distal to the armpit and you get the 'shark bite' defect  that isn't pretty.   One of the CoolSculpt adapters usually fits most posterior arms.  What needs to be done is to assess for the appropriate amount of fat. the amount of tissue elasicity and if there is a really good adapter fit prior to proceeding with treatment.
