Hi! this is Arzu from Dr. Caner Kacmaz Clinic. You need to see a plastic surgeon for a reconstruction of the tragus. İf you need more information dont hasitate to contact with us.Kind regards
The correction of your split tragus would be very much like the split of somebody’s earlobe. Under local anesthesia, the small split edges would be removed, and then the tragus put back together again. This should easily be accomplished, and any plastic surgeon should be able to handle this. Best wishes.
The key for a successful repair of your tragus is to suture both the underlying cartilage together and the skin for a smooth contour. I believe this could be performed in the office with minimal inconvenience. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph.
Thank you for your question, and photo. Board Certified Plastic Surgeons, and Otolaryngologists, (ENT) take care of facial soft tissue that is damaged. We see piercings go through soft tissue all of the time. These are typically repaired in the office. Damage to the cartilage may be a bit different than the skin surrounding it. This can be repaired by a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in cosmetic ear surgery. The procedure may be performed under local anesthetic, depending on the extent of correction involved.
The split can be repaired by any competent plastic surgeon. It would take 10 minutes and I doubt it would cost more than $1000. Anyone who tells you it’s more complicated than that and will cost much more? Just walk away. It’s simple as can be
See a plastic surgeon. This should be a fairly straightforward repair. That being said, you will likely need the cartilage repaired and even augmented with additional cartilage to prevent this from appearing notched afterwards.
Good morning, hope you are well. Thanks for posting your question and photo. Repairing a cleft in the tragus like this is a straightforward office procedure. Consider seeing a facial plastic surgeon in your area.Best,Dr. Tower
It looks like the tragal piercing tore through the cartilage and skin. The skin appears to have healed on both sides of the tear. This can be repaired with a minor procedure in the office to restore the natural shape of your tragus. There are a number of surgeons who can repair this for you. I'd recommend finding a Facial Plastic Surgeon, Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon, or Plastic Surgeon in your local area.
The repair of a split tragus is pretty similar to the repair of a split earlobe, with the small exception of the tragus having more cartilage tissue. You would likely be best served by going to see a Plastic Surgeon, Facial Plastic surgeon, or ENT specialist to discuss the repair of this. Often, a re-piercing may be performed (if desired) at the same time as the repair. Best of luck in your treatment journey!
Based on your photos, your left ear appears to protrude from your head more than your right. You also appear to have relatively good architecture of your antihilical folds. You might benefit from a left otoplasty surgery with conchal setback sutures. Unfortunately, simply removing skin will not...
Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for posting your photos and question. Based on the photos, your results are good. The ears appear generally symmetric, although I'm sure some finite discrepancy exists. If you were here in my office, I would take measurements, but my guess would be that the...
