Ears protruding again after barber pulled on them, will I need another whole otoplasty procedure? (Photos)

My ears have been severely under corrected through otoplasty. They were in the perfect position until I got a haircut and the barber pulled on them, and now they protrude again. Will this be able to be fixed through a revision surgery or will I need to go through another whole otoplasty procedure? I would like them pinned in close to my head and not floppy. Thank you in advance

Prominent ears are caused by cartilage that is too large and sections of the cartilage, which have not folded correctly. An otoplasty procedure allows the cartilage to be set backward toward your scalp, to reduce its prominence, as well as to fold the cartilage with sutures so that the contours are more normal. If you have lost these two characteristics, then another procedure would be required to correct that. Speak with your plastic surgeon as secondary operations are slightly more difficult than primary operations. Best wishes.

I have not heard of somebody getting a relapse of their ear condition following Otoplasty surgery, simply by going to the barber. How long were you after surgery? Your ears do appear to be somewhat outstanding, and, depending on your examination, Revision Otoplasty may be considered for positioning your ears. Closer to your head. The may be corrected with revision surgery. You may require a different approach to improve your results, depending on what was done previously, since your original results should not have been so easily undone by your barber.

It is possible that you might need the entire otoplasty repeated but most of the area of concern is the top part. This can be done by replacing the sutures in your antihelix to pull the ear down tighter against the skull. This was probably torn when the barber pulled on your ear.
