I had a tummy tuck early 2023. I was told by the surgeon that I would need an extended tummy tuck to be truly satisfied but I was taking part in a post operative pain management study so the standard tummy tuck with muscle repair was 100% free.I talked to the surgeon about getting the dog ears removed after. I moved and honestly was happy with the before & after. Now I’m looking into dog ear removal, can I get just that done? What is the cost range? Do I need a full revision?

Answer: Dog era excision, liposuction, possibly full TT
Dear Straightforward1695,
it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Further evaluation is needed but it does appear a revision would be helpful. You may only need some localized liposuction, or more may be needed. Visit with your surgeon to discuss your concerns and learn more about your options. Revisions are not typically done until 9-12 months after surgery.
