Problems 2 years post tummy tuck and lipo. Any suggestions?

Question

two years ago i had lipo and tummy tuck...now i have develop multiple bumps below my belly button and to the left of that. post surgery there was a small bump below belly button and the rest was numb about 5 months ago another bump showed up. my gyn had me do an ultrasound because he could feel them too. nothing showed up on ultrasound and showed results to my tt and lipo surgeon he was not concern now bumps 3x ln size! i see my surgeon in 3 weeks. any suggestions

Thank you for your question. It's not uncommon for patients to experience some irregularities in the contour of their abdomen following a tummy tuck and liposuction procedure. It's important to keep in mind that two years post-operation, it's unlikely that these issues are related to swelling or normal postoperative healing. It's difficult to provide a specific diagnosis without an in-person consultation or physical examination.

However, it is possible that the bumps you are experiencing could be related to scar tissue or residual fat pockets. Sometimes, revision surgery or non-surgical treatments such as liposuction or radiofrequency can be used to address these issues. I'm glad to hear that you have an upcoming appointment with your surgeon, as they will be able to provide you with a more accurate diagnosis and suggest appropriate treatment options.

In the meantime, it's important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, to ensure optimal healing and recovery.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having.  It's difficult to determine what may be causing these bumps without an examination or any photos.  You are doing the right thing by visiting with your surgeon who will hopefully be able to provide some insight.

It's really hard to make an objective assessment without any pictures. I assume the bumps you are mentioning are probably due to scarring from liposuction. The best bet would be to see your surgeon and discuss all the options with him
