Hello I am 25 years old, I got diagnosed with Chronic Myloid Leukemia at 22 years old, I have been in remission for almost 2 years , I currently take Sprycel for the cancer still but my oncologist told me once I hit the 2 year mark I could start to come off of the oral chemo. My question is, am I able to get a tummy tuck or bbl once I come off the oral chemo ? Because I know certain plastic surgeons don’t want to go near “leukemia patients” because it has to do with the blood.

Answer: Tummy tuck Dear ashleyk522, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You might need a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Tummy Tuck Hi there, we recommend discussing with your oncologist about getting a tummy tuck after coming off of chemotherapy. You may need to discuss the risks and benefits with him/her. Some medications used in treatment can cause bleeding problems. So, if you plan on getting a tummy tuck, make sure you discuss this with your oncologist and hematologist.
