So I had 360 lipo a year ago. It was a suggestion to have a tummy tuck but we were hoping the skin would tighten to avoid that procedure. One plastic surgeon consult said yes tummy tuck while the other said I don’t have enough skin. I so now understand the difference of opinion with two reputable professionals. I do have some loose skin. Some fat I can pinch and center of stomach is slightly hard. Only a one finger muscle separation. Any advice or opinions?
Answer: Tummy Tuck vs Liposuction Thank you for your questions and photos. A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of the abdominal muscle. The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss. By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but your core strength as well. The repair of the muscle will cinch your waist like an inner corset, which will accentuate your curves. Liposuction will remove excess fat from unwanted areas with some skin retraction. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals. Answer: Yes, a tummy tuck is an option for you. Thank you for your question regarding your abdomen, is a potential for a tummy tuck. Let’s examine the indications for it. Because of excess skin and fat, other patients need a tummy tuck because of abnormal muscle. Case you do not have much excess skin nor much excess fat. Your main issue is muscle weakness. This is seen on your profile view, where the abdomen jets around your belly button. This is due to a weak muscle-tendon—no amount of liposuction. It would help if you had a tummy tuck. During a tummy tuck, the muscle can be placated, and you can achieve a flat abdominal profile. This is achieved with what is called muscle placation. Some skin and shop will be removed, but most of your tummy tuck will be the correction of the week in muscle. Good luck. I hope this helps answer your question about whether your body type would be amenable. Good luck. Answer: Abdomen You can get a tighter abdomen with the tuck because the muscle can be tightened and what loose skin your have can be removed. However, you still appear to have good results with just liposuction.

Answer: Tummy tuck Although an in person examination is always best, it appears from your photos that you are a candidate for a tummy tuck. This would remove excess fat and skin as well as correct abdominal wall laxity. The result will be a flatter, tighter tummy. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Potentially Depends on the amount of skin laxity. You likely will be a good candidate for tummy tuck but you can also consider other options such as bodytite or minitiuck
