Why did my nose got long again 1 year after rhinoplasty? (Photos)

Sometimes the tip of the nose looks longer but it might be from other issues. It appears that your bridge was lowered. That can make the tip look relatively longer. I find computer imaging very helpful for demonstrating why a nose looks like it does and what possible changes might be.

Revision rhinoplasty for the hanging columella and overdone dorsal resection. An examination of the nose is needed but these can be reversed as seen on my website and others. This should be done by a very experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeon who can show you dozens of his results in noses like yours.

An in-person exam would be helpful but it’s certainly possible that you may have some scar tissue under the skin that could respond very well to a steroid injection. I use Kenalog plus 5-FU for this. If your surgeon is unresponsive, you could seek a 2nd opinion.

From the side profile photographs, it appears that you had a dorsal hump reduction which makes the nose look Long in the vertical axis. There is also a hanging columella present in all of the photographs. A revision rhinoplasty with a columella-plasty can accomplish shortening the nose.
