I've had 2 rounds of kybella injected and I see absolutely no change in my appearance. Each round included 1 vile since I don't really have a double chin but have always had some annoying submental fat. My 2nd session was 6 weeks ago. I swelled after each session but my profile looks like the same. Help!
Answer: Kybella for chin fat Thank you for your question. The 2 clinical trials with Kybella performed by Allergan involved 2-6 treatments with 2-4 vials per treatment. So it sounds like you received an inadequate dose of Kybella. It is normal to have moderate swelling following each treatment and it does takes several months to appreciate the results from this treatment. I would recommend either giving it more time, or returning to your Doctor for more treatment.Good luck

Answer: Kybella Hello, You've asked a great question. Typically it takes several rounds over a few months to start to see the results you are looking for with Kybella. One treatment also usually consists of two viles, not one - I would follow-up with your physician on that. If you continue to see minimal change, it could also mean you are not a candidate for Kybella. We've written a great article on Kybella versus a more traditional neck lift and when one procedure might be better for you over the other. Good luck!

Answer: Kybella There are a few reasons you may not be seeing results, with out pictures or an in person consult it is hard to tell. But most patients are treated with 2 vials per treatment ,you may have been under treated , or just simply not a kybella candidate. Follow up with your injector to further discuss. with you best look in mind Dr. Rafal

Answer: Kybella Results--add thermage, ultherapy, exilis, VASER, ThermiRF Kybella results can take up to 6-8 weeks and do require a series of treatments. For best results with Kybella, I recommend a combination approach with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. 1 vial (2 cc) is VERY minimal even for a small amount of fat. I suggest a second opinion. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Kybella Results Hi sapfelzqweig,Kybella is usually done as a series of 2-3 sessions, done about 6 weeks apart in my practice. Your ultimate result will be seen about 4-6 weeks after the last session. It sounds like you are having the appropriate response, but may require another session. It is difficult to determine without seeing you in person or photos. If you look at the photos on the website and in the studies for Kybella, some of those patients had 5 or more sessions. I would recommend you discuss your results and look at your photos with your plastic surgeon. I'm sure they can help guide your next steps.Hope that helps.Best,Dr. B
