My op is scheduled for 6/25/14..And my family camping trip is about a week and a half after the op, in the mountains, @ our cabin... Unsure if I should skip it this year. I don't want to do anything or be anywhere that could potentially mess with my very new boobs!

Answer: Can I be in high altitude a week and a half post surgery? Hi. The answer is absolutely yes. Practicing in Miami for the past 29 years has given me an opportunity to perform breast augmentations on many out of town patients. Often times the patient will go back within the same week as their surgery. Altitude does not affect the healing process. What you need to avoid is carrying heavy luggage whether checked in or carry on. Safe journey and enjoy your camping trip!

Answer: Can I be in high altitude a week and a half post surgery? Thank you for the question. High altitude, in and of itself, should not be a problem. However, best to communicate your plans with your surgeon and let him/her know exactly what activities you have planned. It is likely that you will be able to enjoy your family trip, minus strenuous activity. Best wishes.
