I had sciton halo/bbl on chest done. Doctor went more aggressive in the center because that’s where the wrinkles “coalesced”. It did not blister, but it did ooze a bit. I contacted office 2 days after treatment & they said all was normal for healing. Now it has been 18 days post. Doctor admits he went to aggressive but tells me the red line will fade in 1-3 months. I don’t trust anything he says. I’m so sad. What can I do to minimize any pigment changes?

Answer: Halo and BBL on chest if there is persistent redness on the chest, I would likely start treatment with pulsed dye laser. This is a non-invasive treatment which would likely help. Usually pulsed dye laser is repeated more than once. It is very important to protect the area from sun exposure with a zinc oxide sunscreen. If you’ve lost trust in your doctor, you need to find another doctor.Regards,Dr. Ort

Answer: It looks like it will be ok thank you for your question. I’m sorry you have this result. It looks as if he simply overlapped that area of your chest between the two halves and therefore increased the treatment in that location. From your photos it looks like you have some post inflammatory changes which should resolve in time (on the face I normally estimate 4-6 weeks. On the chest roughly double) My suggestions start with daily spf to that area; to prevent hyperpigmentation sunscreen is your best defense. A second adjuvant I like is Alastin skin nectar to help more rapidly repair damaged skin. A few Light bbl treatments or pulse dye can also help to reduce the redness.
