It all depends on your degree of skin issues and skin type. Usually if someone has extra skin and hooded eyes, they will not get the correction they want with the downtime and cost they are willing to spend without surgery. Lasers like Halo are great for total face resurfacing and improving the quality and texture of the skin. They cannot, in my opinion, deliver the results that an upper blepharoplasty or eyelid lift can for the eyes. The downtime and pain is very similar, cost may be different but a Halo treatment that doesn't work for the eyelids may cost you that and the cost of surgery. Best, Dr. Ali
The Sciton Halo laser can be used under the eyebrow for skin improvement but will not really correct a hooded upper eyelid. For mild upper eyelid skin excess the Sciton TRL (tunable resurfacing laser - a full field erbium laser) will give improvement but for more severe hooding a surgical blepharoplasty is required
