Hello! I’m 35 years old and thin/fit. I had an extended deep plane neck lift and platysmaplasty (NO lipo) last year to address genetic sagging. My incisions started at the top of my tragus and continue around the ear to the top of the back of my ear. I also had one under my chin. This year, I had a redo surgery that started at the same place in front of ears but this time it extended behind ears and down into the hairline. We did not redo the platysmaplasty as Dr. said he could feel that the muscle was “closed”. Sadly, this second procedure didn’t resolve the problem and almost immediately the excess skin (turkey waddle) was back. Dr. Said it’s due to my skin elasticity and that he removed a lot of skin. I’m so disappointed bc I see 70yr olds walk out with better results. Has any doctor had a young patient with super elastic skin that kept sagging? If so, what approach did you take to correct it?

No that is not true. If the necklift is properly performed, the result can last for many years. Most patients do like to improve the jowls at the same time, which is why everything is usually done at once. Be sure to see a facial specialist for consultation.
Getting an advanced lower face/neck lift under local with a little iv sedation for complete comfort would be easy and make a huge improvement. It would really give you a nice sharp jawline and trim neck without that slope.
Thank you for your question; yes, in certain cases an isolated neck lift may be performed in a patient which would limit scars in certain locations (back of the ear, under the chin). It always depends on a patient's anatomy and there is a possibility of some effect of tightening to nearby...
