Hello, im 2 weeks 5 days post surgery! I had a periareolar breast lift with a 255cc implants, and im a bit worried about ny right breast. I think it hasn't dropped.. and the left one looks rounder and prettier. actually i love how the left one looks like so I hope the right one achieves the same appearance. Can you tell me if its normal? Is the implant was well placed? Is it to soon? Since my early recovery days the right one has been a little bit more painful.
Answer: Right breast hasn't dropped yet. Is it normal? Hello and then you for your posting your question with proper photos. It is actually very normal for one breast to drop or settle faster then the other. There is no way of saying for certain if the implants were well placed. I can only assume that they were, because there is no indication otherwise. It is actually to soon to see a final result. It could take up to six moths before both your implants drop. Think of it as if you had to different procedures at the same time. One breast will always heal at a different pace then the other. This means you could have more pain, swelling or discomfort on one breast then the other. It also means that one might settle faster then the other. Basically your breast will behave differently until they are both healed. Best of luck on your recovery!

Answer: Is it normal? Right breast hasn't dropped - 3 weeks post-op. It is too early after surgery to make any judgment. Your implants will take six months to settle fully, so I would recommend continuing to be patient with the process. Be sure to follow your surgeon's instructions closely. Congratulations on your surgery!

Answer: Implant dropping Dear P1100,dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: They are sisters, not twins A patient during her first visit once told me that her breasts were sisters, not twins. This is true in nearly all women. The same is true in the healing processes after surgery. Most of the differences/ asymmetries that existed before surgery will be present after surgery. Having said that, healing to see a stable result takes at least 6-8 weeks and maybe longer. Your pictures suggest you are progressing very nicely and have a great result, but it will still change for at least a month or more. Keep the faith and you should do very well.

Answer: Post op Everything looks pretty normal in your pictures, and the asymmetries that you can see are probably related, at least in part, to differences between your breasts that were already present before the procedure.Over the next few weeks you will surely notice an improvement, but do not expect your breasts to become identical, because they are not supposed to be.
