So it's been 3 months now . I have had this tethering/ pleating of the skin on my neck since my surgery . Doctor injected a two steroid shots at around 6 weeks but it still looks like this . I do not go back to seem him again until Aug. He is just saying give it time . I would just like another opinion and what can possibly be done to get rid of this. I'm including one picture a few weeks after the surgery along with 3 taken 3 months post op.
Answer: Necklift Thank you for your question. My patients of Laser-Assisted Weekend Necklift do not need 3 months+, however, as you underwent a different and because each patient reacts to surgery differently, I suggest that you remain patient. You should write down your questions for your Aug. appointment in detail so that you are sure to have your surgeon answer all of your questions. Best wishes,

Answer: Concerned About Results 3 Months Post-op I am sorry to read of your disappointment. You may benefit from additional surgery to better correct your concern. Usually, it's best to wait at least 6 to 12 months depending on the reason for a #revision. Also, your procedure should always be performed by a #PlasticSurgeon who is board-certified and has a great deal of experience specializing in cosmetic #surgery and #neck lifts. Additionally, you should feel confident and comfortable with the doctor you choose. Whether it is the same doctor who did your original surgery, or, you feel it necessary to seek a new one. As with all #cosmetic surgery, results will be rewarding if expectations are realistic. With any surgical #procedure and #revision, there are some risks of unhappy outcome or other complications which your surgeon should discuss with you during your consultation. You will then greatly improve your chances of getting the result you desire, and, without the need for additional revision surgery.

Answer: Neck Skin and Platysmal Bands -- VASER Hi Def Liposuction/ThermiRF, Venus Legacy/Thermage/Ultherapy, Botox/Dysport, Kybella I suggest venus legacy, botox, and massage to this area to help improve the healing. Fraxel lasers and microneedling can help the lines. Ultherapy can help the crepe skin. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Neck lift 3 months post op and still have this tethering on the skin. Will it improve? (Photo) Thank you for your question and sharing your photos. It appears that you may need a revision in the area of concern, but I would wait a few more months. Even though it is apparent that some adjustments are in the future, it's always best to let the tissues heal and settle down before attempting a repair. If you trust your plastic surgeon, keep the lines of communication open and let him guide you through.Good luck!

Answer: Tethering of Skin Thank you for your question and photos. It appears that you have read of tethering that probably represent scarring for the dissection. At three months there is definitely room for continued healing but I would recommend massage and consider ultrasound therapy both of which can aid in healing of tissue. I wouldn't rush into a surgical revision for you are still healing. Steroids in low dose can help but usually are limited to three treatments. I would recommend following your surgeons recommendations. It sounds like he is being conservative which is usually the best advice in the relatively early post period. Patients are anxious to be proactive and to heal quickly which is understandable but be careful about seeking treatments to speed things along for often they are of minimal help and can actually be counterproductive.Although tis not easy hang in there and keep speaking with your doctor. At six months if things haven't changed then you may want to get another set of eyes to look at youBest of LuckDrG
