I've suffered with neck fat and rolls since I was born and it seems to be getting worse as I get older. I would love to have a smooth neck, what I can do to achieve this?
Answer: Neck Lines / Tech Neck / Neck Wrinkles -- Soft Fillers (Belotero) in combination w/ Lasers and Microneedling/PRP "Injecting soft fillers like Belotero in this area can reduce lines, wrinkles and folds as well as improve skin texture with long-term collagen production. Fillers are being used more frequently to contour and lift rather than solely line fill. Of course, fillers are best used in combination with lasers and microneedling with PRP to get the optimal outcome. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to create an individualized treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer"

Answer: How to Get Rid of Neck Rolls Thank you for your question and picture. There are several options for treatment of the neck, however in your situation I would expect that surgery would give the best degree of improvement. A combination of liposuction and a neck lift will reduce the fullness and the loose skin. The more difficult issue are what are commonly called neckless lines. These can be treated with intra-dermal fat injection with significant improvement. I would suggest you consult with a plastic surgeon with a lot of experience in neck enhancement surgery. Good luck.

Answer: Necklace lines The kind of lines you have on your neck, the kind of go from side to side as opposed to up and down, are the very hardest to treat. They are called "necklace lines". There is no wonderful solution to treat these that is 100% reliable. A traditional neck lift will not work. Some forms of treatment can include internal release of those attachments, fat grafting, fillers, laser tightening devices, etc. Most likely, none will achieve a very smooth, lying free neck. Youshould have some consultations with plastic surgeons to talk about realistic expectations.Best of luck!Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA

Answer: Getting rid of neck rolls Hi CmagloireThanks for your post.Neck Lift Surgery or Platysmaplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure to help contour and reduce loose skin around the neck. A combination of excess skin excision, liposuction and internal tightening are used in Neck Lift Surgery to achieve your desired look and shape. For those who have excess fat under the chin but still have good muscle tone and skin, liposuction of the neck will be sufficient. If the skin has lost elasticity, removal of excess skin (Neck Lift Surgery) to tighten and tone the neck will also be required.Tightening of the platysma muscle (also known as platysmaplasty) will require a small incision under the chin away from direct view to gain access to the front edge of the muscles on the neck; they are sutured together with permanent stitches. The muscles of the neck are the foundations and building blocks of the neck and are fundamental to achieving a tight and toned result.Make sure you find a reputable and qualified plastic surgeon who can assess you properly to give you a realistic idea of what outcome you can achieve.
