I am 7mo. Post-op. I went from a 34B to a 30G/H. 650CC High Profile texured "gummy bears". My breasts are obviously large but they dont press together, and I have yet to find a bra that actually pushed them together to give me the long cleavage that I was going for. In face, they are separated into an A-line type formation. They are not sagging...but they're not together...Will cleavage happen with time?
Answer: Breast Cleavage will most likely not change You are certainly past a point in your post-operative recovery where you will see any significant changes in your breast shape or size. Here at Stillwater Plastic Surgery we inform our patients that the breast implant is centered directly underneath the patients areola. If your implants were placed differently your nipples would not point straight forward and look unusual. The cleavage you are looking for may not be possible given your anatomy.

Answer: Textured implants do not move much at all over time and improved cleavage is unlikely after 7 months. Thanks for your question. At 7 months, you are at exactly the "average" time for complete healing, centered exactly under the bell-shaped curve that will have fewer women healing faster and an equal smaller number healing slower. By 12 months the vast majority of women will be completely healed, even the "straggler" slow healers.Since you have textured implants designed to adhere to tissues, they are unlikely to move, soften, or settle down OR inwards to any significant degree, even with additional passage of time. I hope your breasts are soft, because firm breasts cannot be shaped as well by a good push-up (or push-in) brassiere. As others have stated, closer pocket dissection medially would perhaps give closer cleavage, but at increased risk of symmastia ("uni-boob") which is far worse in appearance than slightly wider cleavage. Unless your are really tall or with a wide chest/breast diameter, the implants you have should allow you to create the shape you desire with good bra selection. Obviously, this is impossible to state decisively without examination in-person or at least with photos. If you really want a different "look," you will need to have additional consultations to see if what you seek is even in the realm of anatomically possible, or if it is inadvisable. Please seek ABPS-certified plastic surgeons with extensive breast surgery experience. Sometimes "better" is the enemy of "good enough." Best wishes! Dr. Tholen

Answer: Breast cleavage after augmentation is an anatomic variant Assuming your implants were placed in the submuscular position - we cannot create breast-on-breast cleavage unless a patient has a very short intra-mammary distance pre-op. The insertion and modification of the pectoralis muscle determines where the implant rests on your chest. Agressive division of the pectoralis in this region can cause significant problems with synmastia.

Answer: No cleavage It sounds like that you have implants that are too heavy and that you have them, migrating towards your armpit. Picture would be very helpful before and after. If my description is correct then I would recommend that you have a revision to downsize your implants and make the pocket smaller.
