I have had two children and looking to get a mommy makeover. I want a tummy tuck but not sure if I need a full or mini. Also, will it get rid of my stretch marks on my hips? My lower stomach bothers me the most and well as the fat in my pubic area, does a tummy tuck take care of the pubic fat as well?

Answer: Full or mini tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)? For most moms, they have separation of the muscles above the level of the belly button and only the full tummy tuck or abdominoplasty will address this. Otherwise it may be flat below the level of the belly button and bulging above. It is a rare occasion for me to do a mini tummy tuck and it is for a very specific candidate that has intact muscles above the level of the belly button and with no stretch marks. Make sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon.

If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement.
