Fibrosis after liposuction! Help! (Photo)

It is very common to have bruising and swelling for weeks to months after liposuction procedures. What is most important is that you follow your surgeons post operative instructions and continue compression. If you are concerned, lymphatic massage and Velashape or Venus Legacy treatments can be used to improve the swelling and help the skin tighten. Thanks for the question, it seems you have a hypertrophic response to the procedure. Just like some people get bad scars on the skin you can get get more scarring under the skin. Thank you for the post and photographs.  It is very common to have bruising and swelling for weeks to months after liposuction procedures. You should follow your surgeons instructions including compression and massage.  Most of the time, lumps disappear with time, compression and massage. In rare cases, lumps do not disappear and may require a second minor liposuction procedure (but this is very uncommon).  Please share your concerns with your surgeon and I am sure they will be able to assess you and devise the best possible plan moving forward.  I hope this helps.
