Can I have facial before microneedling?

I have monthly anti-aging facial. I decided to have a micro needling to improve my skin on tightening, brighten and overall healthy looking. Should I have facial before and after the needling? If so, after my facial how many days to have needling ?

You can get a gently cleansing facial before microneedling. You just want to avoid anything that may cause inflammation, like aggressive manual exfoliation, chemical peels, enzymes, etc before the microneedling treatment. A cleansing facial would be a great way to make sure that your skin is extra clean first.

Having a facial before microneedling is a relative contraindication but not an absolute one. Some products used during a facial can cause your skin to be more sensitive therefore it's best to avoid facials or any facial treatments two weeks before microneedling

Yes, of course, you can have a facial before your microneedling session, even before, but it all depends on what time of facial was performed. This will help you to clean and hydrate your skin; however, if during your facial, a chemical peel was completed, you should wait at least two weeks before having this treatment done; this is one of the ingredients that must be avoided before a microneedling therapy because it can cause skin sensitivity. Some practitioners even choose to do a mini-facial before the microneedling. If you decide to do the facial after the microneedling, wait several weeks, between 3 to 4, so your skin will be completely recovered.

We included a mini facial as part of our microneedling protocol. I believe the minifacial helps to hydrate and cleanse the skin before the treatment (and the clients love the mini facial too).  I would not suggest an aggressive medical facial in conjunction however.
