How long should I wait to get facial after fillers?

I had Juvederm injected into my nasolabial folds two weeks ago. When is it safe to get a facial that involves an exfoliation device, extractions, and heat?

It is my recommendation to inform your esthetician that you had fillers to the areas and to not be aggressive in the area.  2 weeks should be a good enough time to have the fillers settle in to place.

Discuss with your Aesthetician, about when you had the filler done, 2-4 weeks out should give you plenty of time to have a facial, but if you are sore or bruised, just let you esthetician know. Getting a facial 2-4 weeks after filler treatment will not hurt your filler, your injectables already settle in place, and healed.

Patients are best served getting the facial first and then the fillers.  If this is not possible, patients should wait at least a few days for the filler to settle in place prior to the facial.  Pressure along the locations of filler can lead to issues with filler movement early on.

First of all, it's imperative to inform your aesthetician before doing a facial that you had fillers injected and specify the areas you have them before injected and the type of filler used. Waiting two weeks after the treatment is enough time for the filler to settle, and if you developed bruises and swelling, this time should be already healed. It is recommended to have a facial 2-4 weeks after your fillers treatment to help your skin enhance the collagen and improve the results.
