I use juvederm xc for some depression on skin and nasolabial and i like it. A new detmatologist said that vollure would be better to smooth things out. Is vollure smoother than xc? i tried juvederm ultra plus once and i hated it because it was too thick and you could actually see it? i do not have major issues or deep folds.
Answer: Juvederm The main difference is less potential swelling associated with Vollure perhaps softer and last slightly longer. Now the key as patient is to have an experienced injector that knows how, where and how much to inject and have an aesthetic sense to give you the results that are pleasing and make you happy. These are products like tools for an artist but the artist has to be talented to get the job done. A lot of times calls are made "how much for syringe of Juvederm"...injection is an art and the material is the tool. Injectors are all different with different levels of training and years of experience and aesthetic sense. So my advice also do not shop for "per price of syringe" for these procedure. Best

Answer: Juvederm Ultra versus Juvederm Vollure for nasolabial folds--add sculptra Vollure is a softer filler and designed to last longer. However, each Doctor will have their preferred fillers. Keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement to this area. I recommend filler for the folds themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Ultra vs vollure Thank you for y9our question. Although both are Allergan products the manner in which they are created makes them differ in how they react in your face. Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus are more water loving and create a fuller stronger correction, that lasts up to 1 year. Vollure is designed to attract less water and be a softer more natural correction that lasts up to 18 months. The key to either product is an expert injector that has experience in all fillers and can help you create the best plan for you.

Answer: Vollure Allergan has created a competitive product to fillers such as Restylane that did not draw water into themselves. These fillers, such as Vollure, tend to be longer lasting and more suited to certain areas on the face. Vollure is softer, but we find it better suited to smaller lines, that are less deep, ie. such as those around the mouth. Ultimately, an experienced injector can go over all of the pros and cons of each filler with you so that you can make the best decision. It's unusual that the Juvederm you had injected was so thick. This may have been the result of too much product placed in that area, rather than the product itself.

Answer: Filler options Thank you for your question. Juvederm Vollure is a more malleable filler than Ultra. I use many different fillers on my patients depending on what I see. The most critical point in determining your proper fit for a filler is finding an experienced treatment professional.. I am a board-certified dermatologist and I receive referrals from many of the medspas who use inexperienced injectors and run into problems. An experienced board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon I believe would be your best avenue for treatment. They would know, after examining your situation, what the best filler options would be as well as the pros and cons of the various options. Dr. Adrienne Stewart MD FAAD
