I saw Dr. Leong for multiple issues and results were fab. She helped inject hypertrophic scars on my body to calm them down and then also revise some old acne scars on my face and address general sun damage and enlarged pores. In the last year, I had experimented with various lasers and RF microneedling (Infini, Intracel) but the Fraxel she helped me do by far has shown the most improvement in skin texture and evening out skin tone. Def recommend!
Dr. Leong is hands down the best injector I have encountered. I have had a several different treatments performed by her and every single time has been amazing. Her technique is flawless! I have received comments from friends and family saying how refreshed and great I look, but no one has been able to tell that I've had anything done. She is truly a master at her craft.
With Dr. Tracy Leong, I received superb medical expertise at a reasonable cost. She offered a treatment that was less invasive than surgery and the results were long-lasting. I definitely recommend her for your dermatological and aesthetic enhancement needs.
A friend referred me to Dr. Leong after having a great experience with her. I went in to learn about my options for double chin reduction. She is a really kind and knowledgable dermatologist. After 4 treatments of Kybella my double chin is gone.
I recently got 4 sessions of Rejuvapen micro-needling since late December 2015. I do see a good improvement in my skin overall (texture and scar reduction ). Procedure is fairly quick and somewhat painful if you don't get numbed well. I think overall it has much less down time and fraxel laser which I had previously. (Btw, Fraxel Laser burned my skin. Not fun and painful). One thing that I was not too happy which was that micro-needling can't remove deep wrinkles between my eyes. So, I still have to go in every few months for my Botox. If you think you have acne scars that you want to get rid of and also want less down time, I would recommend trying this procedure out. After trying this, I would never go back to any kind of Laser procedure.
Turning 40 was weighing heavy on me, deep creases and feeling like no matter what I Looked tired and worn out..after my visit with Dr.Leong I saw immediate results! She brought back that natural, subtle youth that has my friends asking, 'Wow, what are you doing, you look great!' She was kind, attentive and understood exactly what I wanted to accomplish, I absolutley trust her to help me put my best face forward!!!
Comsmetic surgery? HA, NEVER! Multiple Needles? I THINK NOT! Surgical center? GET ME OUTTA HERE! As a 'somewhat normal' man, I would think that these might be the initial contemplations of most of us knuckle dragging, X chromosome carriers. We like to keep it rugged, tough, and most of all... simple. We'd rather shave something off with sand paper, chop it with a box cutter, or rub up against a tree if something uncomfortable is clinging to our bodies. The last time something was on me that I didn't appreciate, it was a spider, but rather than applying my thumb to squish it into a jellied, non-existent splat of minutia, I just watched it because it was quite the beautiful arachnid, and I didn't want to interrupt it's circumnavigation of my hairless arm. I took it outside where it belonged and set her free into the vast. Since I was around 30 years of age, I noticed something else clinging to my body, albeit not that uncomfortably... a nifty, not-so-little double chin. I didn't think much of it, once again because I'm a guy and I had 'other things' going on (women in bars and cool guitars). My issue back then, was that I was still relatively thin, 5' 10" & 170 lbs. so yes, it did bother me a little. But life goes on...and so did this chin. Fast Forward Just recently, a good friend of mine who happens to work at a surgical center in La Jolla called Faces PLUS, told me that her employers were conducting multiple Kybella studies and they were in need of men to participate in their research. I assume men were hard to come by because we don't generally think of these moments as opportunities, rather than nerve-wracking, emasculating situations where men go to get poked by women with sharp objects. Needless to say, with some persuasion, I reluctantly agreed and made an appointment with the world renowned, infamous Dr. Leon. The drive to La Jolla was a pleasant one, heading south on the scenic I-5, immersed in the audial space of Prokofiev and Beethoven, smelling the crisp blue fresh salt air, streaming through the vents as a graceful silver pelican soared overhead into a golden horizon. The fear set in when I parked the car. I actually sat there for minute wondering if I should cancel the appointment, stuff my tail between my legs go walk to the street corner of Fail and Humiliation. I chose the more successful path and walked through the office doors of Faces PLUS. To my pleasant surprise, the decor of the office was strikingly modern with hints of 70's retro neo-modern furniture that was obviously not from the 70's. The walls were adorned with classical and abstract motifs reminiscent of Miro, Picasso, and the pencil of Rembrandt, all constructed of of same brush of the same name... Kohen if I remember correctly, please go check him out. If you can't find any pieces out there in the world, they are all gracing the walls of Faces PLUS in La Jolla. My tensioned eased as I entered the treatment room and finally met with this infamous Dr. Leon and her assistant (my friend of course). They informed me how we were going to proceed and how the treatments work. To my pleasant surprise once again, everything went seamlessly. They place an adhesive grid of sorts upon the underside of my chin so the proper locations would be established for the needles, 20 in all. The shots themselves were actually quite painless. I really didn't fell most of them. There was a slight burning sensation that followed shortly after the injections, but nothing to be alarmed of, and the pain went away after a couple hours. Minor swelling and numbness came next, and again, not painful at all and the numbness was almost entertaining if not a little strange. All of this was a small price to pay considering the results in the coming future. All in all, my first Kybella experience was a very pleasant and satisfying one. The staff at Faces PLUS is top-notch, easy on the eyes, and full of knowledge one can only achieve through years of training. I'm not afraid anymore and I'm looking forward to meeting with Dr. Leon and her staff again for my second treatment. Kybella must be a reprieve for people that are struggling with a double chin and don't want to go into surgery. On a personal note, I wonder if I should grow a beard to hide some of the swelling on my chin? Might be a good look, but I wonder how that would work with the grid that needs to be applied to the chin area? That might be an interesting challenge for the Kybella design community. Some men might have beards already and not want to shave it prior to injections. Maybe myself or another industrial designer could create patentable mesh grid to be placed onto a beard? Hmmm... Thank you Dr. Leon, you were wonderful! Images are coming soon (later today), I promise The Chin in the West Updated on 20 Oct 2015: Here's a few before and after images. Swelling was worst the very next day but it is coming down steadily.
Great work. would go again. I didn't feel too much pain. if you are scared just ask more questions. She is clearly an expert. I like that she was nice and made sure i was accommodated at all times. this is the best place i have ever been to in terms of clean and professional service. thank you
Wanted to try micro needling to improve the texture of my skin and I was very happy with the results but it was very painful. This procedure allows the skin care regimen to penetrate deeper into the dermis which improves efficacy of the products applied to the skin. Four treatments are suggested with 4 to 6 weeks between each treatment. Expect to be very red immediately after the procedure. Best to not make any plans after the procedure the same day. By the following day, makeup will cover the redness.
The technique Dr. Leong demonstrated when ascertianing injection sites, dosage, and her expert and flawless technique used to dispense Botox made me feel completely confident that I chose the right Doctor. Results were amazing!!! I trust NO ONE else with a needle in my face. She is a true artist and leaves me feeling 10 years younger every time I see her.
Belotero is a hyaluronic acid filler that is preferable for fine lines and can be injected superficially. The areas where I use Belotero the most are the tear troughs and fine lines around the mouth. Belotero typically lasts 3-6 months. Belotero is very different than Radiesse and Voluma, which are much more robust fillers that are more appropriate for volumization, and are injected deeper in the skin than Belotero. If you are interested in having filler performed, I recommend an in-person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can determine what treatment is appropriate for you. I hope this answer is helpful! Best of luck.
Thank you for your question! Although typically discussed as a treatment for hair loss, PRP is a great treatment that can help individuals with naturally thin hair also. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a physician experienced in PRP treatments who can help decide if PRP treatments are right for you.I hope this answer is helpful! Best of luck.
Thank you for your question and photos! It appears as though you do have an excess amount of fat in the submental region which could be improved by Kybella treatments. However, you also have a small chin which also makes the excess fat in the submental region more prominent. I would also consider getting filler such as Voluma performed in the chin to create a stronger profile and jawline. I believe the combination of both Kybella and Voluma would give you a great result!I hope this answer is helpful. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. It is definitely safe to get Juvederm injected in the nasolabial folds and marionette lines after you have had a chin implant. With any injectable filler procedure, it is important to consult with a physician who is experienced with the procedures you are hoping to have performed.I hope this answer is helpful! Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. Although Kybella is only FDA-approved for treatment of submental fat (commonly referred to as a "double chin"), some experienced physicians may use the Kybella off-label for treatment of other areas of excess fat. Personally, I have used Kybella off-label for treatment of lipomas with great results and no scarring as seen with a standard surgical excision. If considering this treatment, I recommend consulting with a board-certified dermatologist who has had experience using Kybella off-label to see if using Kybella is an option for you.I hope this answer is helpful for you. Best of luck!
