Where should I ask for the dissolver to be placed so that I can have a more natural shape but still keep filler in my lips? Can I just partially dissolve it? How long should I wait? I'm very upset because I had put the money aside for it and cannot afford to pay for another syringe at the moment. Would wydase etc dissolve everything? I still want the filler but a more natural look! It also caused weird lines around my mouth.
Answer: Wait for swelling to diminish before assessing your JUVÉDERM® results. First, don’t panic. Since it’s only been one day since getting your lip fillers, you probably still have some significant swelling, which could be creating the unwanted shape you’ve described. Before opting to have the filler dissolved, wait a few more days to see if swelling starts to go down and your lips begin to appear smoother and more natural looking. If you’re still unhappy with your results after all swelling and other temporary side effects have diminished, consult your cosmetic surgeon’s office about getting your filler dissolved. Keep in mind, though, that it can be very difficult to only partially dissolve the product, so you may need to completely remove it and start over. Hang in there!

Answer: Unhappy results For now, don't do anything. It may take at least 2 weeks for the swelling to subside and for you to actually see your results. At that point, if you still aren't happy then yes, see your injector about having some or all of the filler dissolved.

Answer: Best Treatment for Too Much Filler in the Lips Hi V,Sorry to hear about your lip injection dissatisfaction. It appears that your lips were large and pretty to begin with, and then on top of that too much Juvederm was injected. At this point it is best to wait a few days and then consult with someone whose artistic vision can be trusted. Most likely you will have some of the recent filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. I would begin with your upper lip because the natural ratio of beautiful lips is the lower lip being about 1.6 times larger than the upper. As with all aesthetic treatments, the most important aspect of your treatment is making sure that you choose your physician most carefully based on their skill, experience, knowledge, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA

Answer: Lip swelling after filler injection As the others have said, please try to be patient! I ask my patients to wait a full two weeks prior to considering making adjustments to the lips. The first two to three days are typically the worst for most people and some patients swell much more than most. Talk to your injector and let him or her know that you have concerns. Good luck!Sincerely,Dr. Michelle Spring
