Where should I ask for the dissolver to be placed so that I can have a more natural shape but still keep filler in my lips? Can I just partially dissolve it? How long should I wait? I'm very upset because I had put the money aside for it and cannot afford to pay for another syringe at the moment. Would wydase etc dissolve everything? I still want the filler but a more natural look! It also caused weird lines around my mouth.
Answer: When to dissolve filler I'm sorry you are unhappy wit your filler treatment. Swelling and bruising are common after lip fillers and can persist up to two weeks. You want to wait until after that time to have the filler dissolved, as it will be unclear what is product and what is swelling up to that point.

Answer: Best Treatment for Too Much Filler in the Lips Hi V,Sorry to hear about your lip injection dissatisfaction. It appears that your lips were large and pretty to begin with, and then on top of that too much Juvederm was injected. At this point it is best to wait a few days and then consult with someone whose artistic vision can be trusted. Most likely you will have some of the recent filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. I would begin with your upper lip because the natural ratio of beautiful lips is the lower lip being about 1.6 times larger than the upper. As with all aesthetic treatments, the most important aspect of your treatment is making sure that you choose your physician most carefully based on their skill, experience, knowledge, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA

Answer: Lip swelling after filler injection As the others have said, please try to be patient! I ask my patients to wait a full two weeks prior to considering making adjustments to the lips. The first two to three days are typically the worst for most people and some patients swell much more than most. Talk to your injector and let him or her know that you have concerns. Good luck!Sincerely,Dr. Michelle Spring

Answer: Juvederm and swelling Dear V1988,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks. Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve. Dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Answer: Too much filler in lips or swelling only? Hello, As the other panel members suggested, you most likely are having expected swelling after treatment - very common. It would be too soon to make a decision as to whether or not you will like the final result. Being that this was a big financial investment, give it at least one more week. Generally speaking, swelling will improve with each passing day with use of Ibuprofen, Benadryl, and leaving the area alone. If these measures and time does not improve the appearance, we suggest addressing your concerns with the practitioner. If your injector is not willing to help you meet your goals, using small increments of Vitrase will help lessen the fullness but retain the benefits you would like to retain. We have much experience in helping patients from outside practices correct their original treatment plan.
