In my practice I perform chin lipo under local anesthesia and oral sedation in an accredited surgery center this can also be done in the office setting. Under these methods typically blood work, ekg is not required. If done under iv sedation blood tests are typically required.
Typically you don't need to have any blood tests prior to surgery if you are healthy and don't take any medications. If you are unhealthy, take medications which will affect your blood chemistries then you should have blood work.
