Will I be guaranteed results from chin liposuction?

I really want to get rid of my double chin but I am petrified of the thought of doing any cosmetic procedure especially when nothing is guaranteed. What are the chances of chin lipo not working on someone ? What is the success rate? Also I am having a hard time finding a doctor. Any recommendations would be gladly appreciated. I am in Brooklyn New York . Thank you

There are 2 compartments of fat in the neck, above and below the platysma muscle.  Liposuction will only remove the fatty deposits above the muscle.  Surgery is required to remove the deposits underneath the platysma muscle, which then also requires a platysma plasty.  The platysma plasty itself will also accentuate the jawline.  For more information  and many examples, please see the link and the video below

Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including facial liposuction and Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years.  Because a "weak chin" can cause early development of a double chin, as described below, non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation.  Liposuction below the chin or across the neck is a very simple, straightforward procedure with a proven track record of success with very minimal side effects however, there are never any guarantees.  For this reason, you should select an experienced surgeon.  If your chin is weak, reducing the fat by any method alone will not add the required forward projection to correct the weak chin.  If the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin".  
 The silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck.  Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision.  
 I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty.  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.  Hope this helps.
