Is it normal for swelling to get worse 5 days after chin liposuction?

It is perfectly normal for you to be experiencing different degrees of swelling throughout your healing process. Swelling can be asymmetrical and feel lumpy at times. Be patient, and the swelling should resolve and any loose skin should tighten up on its own.  Keep in mind that it takes 6 months to see the full results of face liposuction.  If you are still concerned, I recommend following up with the surgeon who performed our procedure

It would not be unusual to still have some swelling present 12 days after liposuction under the chin.  It can take several months for the swelling to resolve.  Swelling after surgery can increase for the first few days and then it generally starts to improve.  If you feel that your swelling is getting worse rather than getting better, I would recommend contacting your surgeon.  An examination of you may be needed to determine if there is any problem or not.
