Hello, Yes, I use accuvein when injecting neuromodulators and fillers. Accuvein has been one of the best investement I have made in my injectable practice for the safety and convenience of my patients. The benefits include avoiding vascular occlusions form fillers as well as avoiding unnecessary bruising form fillers and Botox. Patients appreciate a doctor who will take the extra time, effort and expense to deliver a five star experience. If you are too busy to wait for a bruise to go away, then you are doing the right thing searching for a doctor who uses this tool. I have included a video that focuses on use of Accuvein for filler between the brows but the principles are the same for the rest of the forehead.Best of luck, Dr. Monica Bonakdar
Hello Gregemathe,Great question. There are certainly devices that are available to injectors now that help to make superficial veins more easily visible and hence easier to avoid. I have used the Accuvein and really quite liked it. However, it cannot be overstated that nothing will prevent complications. The benefit of these devices is that they can help to minimize the risks associated with injections and they work best of fair skinned individuals. Even the best device and the best injector can occasionally have bruising and other complications. Have a great day.

I have included an article for you to read. I had treated someone for this problem who was injected elsewhere. The injections were completely appropriate and there were no problems for several weeks following her injection overseas. aestheticsjournal.com/feature/granuloma-management
