Thanks for your question! In my experience of placing thousands of JP drains (usually in the abdomen, I rarely need to use them in breast surgery unless it's for a cancer reconstruction), I'd say that my patients put it at a 0-2; really no big deal. And you'll be really happy to have those annnoying things out. Best of luck to you!
The removal of JP drains are slightly uncomfortable for just a few seconds. The discomfort is different for each patient as pain tolerance varies for each individual. Good luck.
Hello,Thank you for your question. Drains can be uncomfortable but removing them is usually relatively quick and easy. Very low on the pain scale. All the best
Removing the drain usually doesn't hurt at all (1-2 on a 10 point scale). It's completely worth it, if they are indicated for your surgery. They are annoying and most people are so happy to have them removed that they don't even care about the very momentary mild discomfort.
Drain removal should be relatively painless. One trick is to place some antibiotic ointment at the drain skin interface to keep the drain from pulling on the skin when it is removed.
This is a very common concern! Patients commonly describe the sensation like a sting but only for a few seconds! Good luck!
Of course the easiest scenario is not to use drains! However, if they are hub-less, it should not be bad. Hubbed drains hurt more.Good luck!
Very little pain after removal. Typically these drains are not hubbed and there fore slide right out after the stitch is cut.
Generally speaking there is minimal pain with drain removal. However, pain is subjective and although most patients tell me that it felt "weird", but not painful, there are some who says it hurts. In any case, it takes seconds to remove the drain and it does not hurt at all after.
Hi there! There are some drains that does not hurt as much as others. You should ask your surgeon to use these for your case. Otherwise, regular drains hurt about 5/10 when pulled out.
Surgery to the breasts definitely increases blood flow during healing which can increase skin temperature. If you are very comfortable without pain, your breast implants are soft and movable and you do not have a fever there is nothing likely serious going on. However if you feel di...
Thank you for your question. You are still early in recovery and hopefully your implants will drop more. If after 3 months the implants do not drop in the nipple position become higher than a breast lift may be needed. To understand why please read the local
I am very sorry to hear that you procure ankle so soon after breast augmentation. I would be concerned that G should not be using crutches so soon after breast augmentation. Use of a wheelchair may be your best option. Of course please check with your plastic surgeon and do not rely alone on...
