Sculptra stimulates fibroblasts to make collagen and elastic fibers, in addition to improving the appearance of the skin trough the generation of a healthy dermis. It generally takes 2-5 treatments given every month or so to get the optimal results depending on your need. To ensure you’re getting the best results, be sure to consult with a board-certified dermatologist!
Sculptra is a collagen stimulator, which means it actually works by having your body produce new collagen to take the place of the injected Sculptra microspheres (which dissolve). This takes time — usually at least two months. Also, we generally administer Sculptra as a treatment series — layering it on bit by bit — for the best and most natural-looking results. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to administer your next Sculptra treatment.
Hi Christian. Normally Sculptra results will show after 4-8 weeks. The collagen building process does not happen overnight so with Sculptra you need to be patient. If before photos were taken, we wouldn't recommend even looking before a month and more likely 2. Also, Sculptra typically involves more than one visit. While you are very young, you still may require additional vials to achieve your goals. Good luck and to view photos, click the link below.
It can take 3-6 months to see results with Sculptra. Sculptra is a great product for improving facial volume and collagen building, but for best results, I recommend using it in a combination depending on desired results. I combine Sculptra with other fillers, lasers, toxins and skin care to give immediate results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Treatment with Sculptra usually involves a series of injections to gradually produce the desired result. Normally after a Sculptra treatment, the face will look immediately fuller but this goes down in a week or so. After this time, there is some gradual filling as the stimulatory process takes place. It can take 1-2 months to see the full effect from a treatment. I recommend waiting at least one month in between treatment sessions.
Sculptra is mostly done as a serious of up to three treatments and and since it is a collagen simulator it has take up to 2 months to see some of the results .
I can see from the photos you’ve provided that you are the ideal candidate for treatment with Sculptra. You can expect to see results around 4-6 weeks and the degree of volume achieved depends on how your body responds to the treatment. I advise patients to make a month follow-up appointment after treatment to re-evaluate if an additional vial is needed.
I think it takes at least 3-4 months to see the full results of Sculptra. You might start seeing the collagen in about 4-6 weeks. Typically, I will have a rough idea of how much volume is needed and inject at about 6 weeks if more was originally planned. Most people don't want to wait over a year to get their results.
Typically, it takes 1-2 months to see results after Sculptra treatment. Multiple treatment are usually recommended to get complete volume correction from Sculptra.
Thank youfor your question. Sculptra is a bio-activator or “volumizer” that stimulatesthe body to produce new collagen at the sites of injection. The treatment areaswill appear fuller immediately after an injection because ofthe injected local anesthetic (if used) and swelling from the Sculptrainjections, and will generally subside in 3-5 days. The true results of theSculptra injection will gradually appear over a period of a few months andprovide a natural and youthful contour. You may start to see a differencebeginning around 6-8 weeks, but the Sculptra will continue to have an effect for manymonths thereafter. For the greatest results, patients generally have 2 to 3sessions over a few months.
Sculptra is a stimulatory product that gradually produces volume replacement. In most cases, several treatment sessions are needed to obtain the desired result, which can last 2-4 years. The result you are seeing 6 weeks after your first treatment session could still slightly improve. I ha...
Theoretically, you can fill out your thighs with the collagen stimulator Sculptra. However, it would be a subtle improvement and would be best to even out curves or create a more beautiful and smooth surface. Adding inches to your thighs would be prohibitively expensive. Please find a...
Sculptra is contraindicated in patients with keloids and allergic reactions to the products. It should be sued with caution in patients with autoimmune issues as there may be a higher risk of granuloma formation. Be sure you seek out an experienced injector.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
Hi Tiff,Great to hear that you are happy with your Sculptra treatment. It is thought that once a patient reaches "full correction" after their injections they may benefit from "maintenance" treatment about 2 to 4 years later. We are all unique so it is best to return to your physician for r...
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Sculptra will be able to help improve your smile lines and marionette lines if placed appropriately. Your volume needs to be over the apples of your cheeks as formation of the creases is due to cheek descent. Lifting of these tissues int...
The dermal filler and collagen stimulator Sculptra lasts for about 2 years. Therefore, you will not be “starting over” if you get your second treatment six months later. Your Sculptra is still there, and has begun to stimulate your skin to produce new, strong strands of collagen. You can go ahe...
