Hi I am an 24 year old plus size female, I’ve maintained my weight at 230 for about 5 years now it does fluctuate up and down about 5 pounds but it tends to always come back at 23, I’ve been considering getting a bbl for a few years now but it’s ver difficult for me to lose weight even with diet and exercise. I’m not looking for a dramatic change to my waist I just want most curve in my back side
Answer: Max BMI for a Brazilian Butt Lift Thanks for your question. Plastic surgeons have a Body Mass Index (BMI) limit for BBL surgery. At my practice, the max BMI limit for the BBL is 35. The BMI is based on your height and weight. You can check online what your BMI is using an BMI calculator. If you are over the BMI limit, I would recommend consulting with your primary care physician on a proper diet for you to bring down your BMI in order to be able to undergo the procedure. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take Care, Moises Salama MD, board certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Is it possible to get a BBL if you’re plus size? (Photo) In general, overall health as well as BMI and body habitus should all be used to determine appropriateness of the candidate. I prefer my patients to have a BMI around 30 to lessen the risks of complications during and after surgery and to enhance results.

Answer: My Recommendation Dear Fabulous939730, Thank you for sharing your question. After analyzing your case I can say look like a good candidate for Liposuction on your back, flanks and abdomen plus BBL. I'm sure those procedures will give you an amazing result! Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.

Answer: Yes Thank you for your question. It is possible for you to get a BBL and obtain a significant improvement. You would be a good candidate for fat transfer from your abdomen waist and back to your buttocks and hips. The results may very well be dramatic.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Fabulous939730, generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a BBL, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
