I would like to purchase an inflatable bbl lounge chair for my recovery but I'm not sure if it is contraindicated. I don't want to use something that could cause the fat cells to die. What should I do?
Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Genius742606, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: BBL recovery You need to check with your provider to see what he or she recommends. To me the design of the BBL lounge chair is incorrect for the recovery of a BBL. The emphasis on a proper BBL is mostly lateral buttocks transitioning into the hip dip and often outer thigh. The maximum projection is not direct posterior buttocks. Posterior pressure one laying on the back is not nearly as bad as pressure from the sides laying on your side during sleep. Of course this varies from patient to patient depending on what their needs are and also the philosophy on how a BBL should be done from the surgeons perspective. Each provider will have their own protocol and recommendations. If you haven’t chosen a provider then I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons.
