Mini Facelift” is a generalized “catch all” term that can mean different things depending on the doctor you ask. This often makes the real definition difficult for a patient to pin down. It typically only addresses the skin. The, LiteLift™, however, addresses the deeper muscle layer providing the patient with a thorough, natural, long lasting result.Who are the best candidates?Any healthy individual wishing to address the signs of laxity oraging in the lower face and neck. Anyone interested in a refreshed look. This can be from weight loss, genetics and family traits, or aging.Everyone continues to age and additional treatments will be needed with time
Great question. Yes, you can. In fact I typically perform my secondary mini facelift about 5 years on average after my first. Each subsequent procedure allows me to keep the patient looking natural and more youthful, without having a "pulled back" look. Mini facelifts are a great technique for those patients with mild to moderate aging that includes some neck and facial laxity, and jowls.
A mini lift is a wonderful surgical procedure to help define the jawline and lift sagging facial tissues in patients with early stages of aging. After the completion of a mini lift, the aging process will resume. Patient should expect the results of a mini lift should last between 7 to 10 years. At that time, if patients notice a loss of definition and the jawline or aging changes in the neck they can undergo a repeat lift in the face and neck area. This is commonly done in a safe and effective manner.I hope this helps.
Face/neck lifts are easy to undergo under local and local quite amazing when done under local anesthesia with a little iv sedation. Do them whenever your doc feels you are ready.
Yes, it is feasible, or possibly a revised version of a Mini-Facelift. It all depends on physical findings and exactly what is needed in your case.My favorite technique is the MACS short scar Mini-Facelift. Developed in Europe, it is the ideal approach for the younger patient, not ready for a full facelift, or patients who desire a less invasive procedure with a shorter recovery time. It can also be modified for older patients who need a little more attention to certain areas. Check out the link below to an article I wrote about the subject. Good luck.
Presuming the first surgery is done utilizing the appropriate techniques and principles, there is absolutely no reason you cannot have a second lift, if needed, years later. If that lift is done well, you may even have a third many years after that.Basically, if each surgeon preserves vital structures and anatomy, and designs the lift well, he burns no bridges for the future.
Yes you can have a secondary facelift if needed. However in my experience having a full face and neck lift as the first procedure in most patients does not require a secondary lift. For more information please read below:
Hi, I have performed many facelifts including the minimally invasive variation over the past 30 years. There's no reason, as you continue to age, that you can't have another facelift. These typically last about 10 years at which time the facelift can be repeated to achieve similar results. The key IMHO is always shape the cheeks and mid face so they are feminine (in women) or angular/ruggedly handsome (in men). If you have "jowls" this is saggingfacial tissues and an indication for some form of a facelift, not CheekAugmentation. I have performed many Cheek Augmentations over the past 30 years and the notion that Cheek Implants or dermal fillers to the cheeks willlift tissues is an urban myth. Filler to the cheeks or cheek implantswill not lift up the jowls. The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, mustbe dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured. The excess skin is thenremoved and the facelift incisions closed. My most popular facelift is the minimallyinvasive, short incision facelift that has all the benefits of more invasivefacelifts (traditional, mid-face and subperiosteal facelifts) but with theseadded benefits:•very small incisions•minimal tissue dissection = less bruising andswelling = rapid recovery•can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with orwithout general anesthesia•no incisions within the hair = no hair loss•excess fat can be removed•excess skin removed•cheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented withdermal fillers (I prefer Perlane) or facial implants•most patients fly back home to parts all overthe world in as little as 3 days post-opHope this helps.
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
From your limited pictures, you would definitely benefit from volume augmentation. Its hard to say whether you would benefit from a mini lift. While 32 is young, I have done these procedures on patients who have had significant weightloss and they have done very well with a facelift and fat...
You might have to make a little decision to plan your incision for the mini facelift. Most of the patients that I have done surgery that use a hearing aid prefer to be able to hide the incision line so they elect to stop wearing their hearing aids for 7-1 days to allow the healing of the area....
