Would I benefit from a BBL or liposculpting? (Photo)

Question

Female, 5'4 230lbs. After 4th baby needing TT and some volume added back in buttocks. Doesn't seem as though there are many skilled docs in Oregon who perform BBLs? Wondering if i could possibly get by with TT, lipo and sculpting whats already back there, or is fat transfer almost alway need

Hello and thank you for posting. A BBL is not always needed. It will depend on the results you are looking for. I believe lipo on your lower back will help your butt project and look much better. Additional fat transfer can be done if you want more projection and would like to have your butt look rounder from the side view. So, lower back lipo plus waist lipo, including the upper lateral part of the butt is what is going to sculpt your butt and make it nice and round from the back and front view. This plus the TT will change your body drastically and will give you great results. Additionally, if you lose some weight the surgery will be safer and easier. This means that the surgeon can be more aggressive and you would get much better and longer lasting results.

Thanks for your question. At my practice, the max Body Mass Index (BMI) limit for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is 35 and for a Tummy Tuck it's 33. The BMI is based on your height and weight. Going by the height and weight you provided, you are at 39.5 and do not meet our BMI requirement. Since you are over the BMI limit, I would recommend consulting with your primary care physician on a proper diet for you to bring down your BMI in order to be able to undergo either procedure. Thanks for your photos, and most importantly your height and weight. Currently your BMI is 39, which falls into the "obese" category.  I would consider thinking of plastic surgery as a journey and starting first with weight loss. Consider getting your BMI closer to 30 so that a board certified plastic surgeon can then help you achieve your dream body. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. After having four kids, and excess skin you would Benefit from a tummy tuck. Performing a BBL can be done at the same time, and liposuction is frequently part of a tummy tuck. You should be aware that postoperatively you’ll need to not only stay flexed at the waist, but you cannot be laying directly on your buttock. Furthermore, to ensure a ideal and safe result, your body mass index should be closer to 35 than it is now. Once you are at an ideal weight, your result will be even better. Good luck.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT and BBL. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

A tummy tuck and liposuction alone will help flatten out your stomach and contour your body. Your waist will be smaller and by comparison, you may feel that your buttocks is more prominent. However, the only way to give you more volume and projection to your buttocks is with fat injections or implants.

Thanks for the 1 posted photo but your BMI is over "39". You need weight loss or gastric surgery first to get your BMI down. OR in Florida, max lipo as only surgery w or w/o BBL is 4 liters (8.8 pounds) which would not really effect your appearance after 1 surgery. Therefore you could consider multiple lipo rounds of surgery, which I have done many times. After 3 sessions of surgery  (usually every 3-4 months) losing approx. 24 pounds, you could then consider a TT if needed. Best to virtual consult with....

Your single picture is a bit limited in making a quality assessment. I suggest including a full set of pictures showing your front side and backside from your shoulders to your knees wearing revealing undergarments.
Based on the single picture your best option for improving your figure starts with the weight loss.
To get a flat tight pre-pregnancy abdomen will require a full tummy tuck.
Your bottom seems to have plenty of volume but the single picture limits the ability to assess. well done liposuction of your love handles waist back and abdomen is probably sufficient but adding some gluteal volume may help in creating an ideal of feminine S-curve figure.Without weight loss the inherent potential of the procedure will be limited but regardless surgical intervention could be very helpful.
Finding a sufficiently proficient plastic surgeon for both Liposuction and fat transfer may indeed be challenging.Delivering consistent quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe including plastic surgeons.
Mastering these procedures requires years of practice and the dedication to mastering the Art.
Defined the best provider I suggest having multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures. You can get some idea of what plastic surgeons do well by looking at their websites. After doing primary screening of providers who seem to have a knack for both Liposuction and fat transfer follow up by in person consultation.
During the consultation ask each provider to open their portfolio and show their entire collection of before and after pictures. being shown a handful of sample pictures which most likely represent the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like. An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets of before and after pictures of commonly performed procedures. ask the provider to show you examples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes. Ask them to show you as many pictures as possible of other patients who had similar body characteristics to your own.
For Liposuction look carefully at all areas treated to make sure there are no skin contour regularities on any area treated. Confirm that after pictures were taken at least three months from the time of the procedure. Early fat transfer results can look very impressive but do not at all represent final results.
Bring pictures of your own torso for reference and comparison.
