Hello, I am 28 years old wanting to get a BBL. I had an accident this year and broke my tibia plateau, they placed an X-fix in my leg for almost 2 weeks before I had my repair surgery. During that time they found I had a superficial blood clot. I was wondering if that would be an issue for me to have surgery?

Answer: BBL Hi, thank you for sharing your question. It is presumed that your clot developed from the fracture and immobilization. If a hematologist has cleared you from having an underlying condition that causes clotting problems, you can safely proceed with surgery with proper precautions.

Answer: Can I get a BBL with a history of a superficial blood clot? Hi and thanks for the question. It is not uncommon to get a superficial blood clot related to the injury that you had. The way that I would approach this is to have you evaluated by a hematologist to make sure that you do not have an issue with abnormal blood clotting and as long as that doctor clears you can proceed with the BBL.
