I have an Asian nose. I got revision rib rhinoplasty and now I have a problem! Is my wish pic realistic? (Photo)

Question

I got the 2nd nose surgery with rib rhinoplasty in Thailand for 20 months. I 've very thin nose skin. I dont like the shape of my nose& my big nostrils. I wanna change my nose to be same as the picture. Is that possible? The tip of my nose is very thin skin. I can see the bone at the tip of my nose,its white colour & sharp. My nose tip is very sensitive and i cant touch that area. Sometimes tip of my nose is red and pain but someday its not. Is any way to solve my problem?Thanks for your help.

Thank you very much for sharing your concerns about your Rhinoplasty with us.After having analyzed all the info and photos provided to us, i recommend to perform a Secondary Rhinoplasty (not a tip revision) this means (basically) treat the nasal bones and the nasal cartilages.Therefore i would perform a narrowing of the nasal base (nose osteotomy) and alar and triangular cartilage shaping.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Based on the photos submitted, and your description of your nasal tip, the problem is the contour of the rib graft. Reducing and reshaping the rib graft can soften the tip of the nose; some soft tissue grafting may also be necessary depending on your soft tissues. A consultation with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon is necessary to better examine the nose. The part of the rib graft that is causing up pointed nasal tip can be easily shaved down and the nasal tip can be made round just like shown in the photograph.RegardsDr. J

naradar55, your rib graft will need to be revised in my opinion. Over time it is possible this area could erode and your graft would then become exposed and could extrude. See an experienced facial expert that does "only faces" and has great photos. Search the Internet. Good luck!
