Cut part of cartilage in the nose (at the middle of nose) but not putting anything in, can my nose hold its new shape?

I am an asian female college student, and my nose is huge. I do not want my nose to be super beautiful but I want to narrow it down. After examine my photo I think cut part of nostrils and cartilage and/or bones in my nose to make my nose thinner and smaller. Right now I am not sure would this be possible if I do not put anything into my nose? Will the "empty space" (the room where cartilage was cut and removed) work for my nose? How to deal with the "cartilage healing may shift" problem?
