Thank you for your question. I recently had a patient that became pregnant just a few months after her mommy makeover. Hey, it can happen. :)You can have kids, but the results of the tummy tuck will be jeopardized by the stretched skin involved with pregnancy.I hope this answers your question.
Thank you for your question. The answer is yes you can, althought you may lose the results from the tummy tuck. It is recommended to wait until you're done having kids to undergo a tummy tuck procedure. Tummy tuck is a very powerful technique in the right hands, and can have dramatic results if done correctly. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
If a patient is planning to have more children, a standard Tummy Tuck, one that includes tightening of the abdominal muscle wall, should not be done. However, it is safe to have liposuction and remove excess skin. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
Hello,Yes, women can have children after a tummy tuck procedure however if you have the option to plan, a tummy tuck procedure after you are finished having children will ensure long term results and reduce the chances of having to redo the procedure. All the best
Thank you for your question. Yes it is possible to have kids after a Tummy Tuck. The ideal would be waiting until you are done having children. Your other option is having the procedure done and waiting at least two years before getting pregnant.
timj3 Hi There , Thank you for your Question The Answer its yes , there is not problem with it , but if you like to do a Tummy Tuck and spend thousands of dollars you might want to wait ,until you finish having children , o decide not to have them any more, if it is the case that you get pregnant , there should be no issues .
The simple answer is yes, you can have children after having had a tummy tuck. However, it is generally recommended to wait until having finished having children before investing in a tummy tuck to ensure the best long term results and avoid having to repeat the procedure after having had another child.
A tummy tuck operation does not prevent or impact the ability to have children. However, many women prefer to wait until they are done with planned childbearing to optimize the result for the longterm. If you do have a tummy tuck and later get pregnant, you may develop stretch marks or loose skin and muscle laxity that were not present when you had your operation, and this could necessitate a second surgery. However, there certainly are patients who have tummy tucks before having kids or between kids or get pregnant unexpectedly later on. If the tummy tuck result gets compromised by loose skin or stretch marks, or weakening of the muscle fascia, a revision procedure could be done later.
Thank you for your question. You can have kids after your tummy tuck, but it is better if you were to wait to have a tummy tuck until you are done having kids. Your plication will be stretched out and you will likely have some excess skin after your pregnancy, thus losing the benefit of having surgery in the first place. It is a tough decision to decide when you are done having kids, best of luck.
This is a common questions we receive. Yes, you can have normal pregnancies after a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty surgery. However, it will stretch the skin and muscle that were removed and or repaired at the time of a tummy tuck. We recommend our patients wait until after having all of their children and be at a realistic stable weight before considering a tummy tuck.
Thanks for the photos and question. Crusting in the belly button is normal; if the opening (lumen) of the belly button is getting tight, your surgeon might consider using a soft earplug or wadded up petrolatum gauze to keep the "well" open. Revising the shape of the belly button after a tummy...
Dear Patient: thanks for your question and I'm so sorry you're experiencing such bad pain levels. I would contact my Board Certified Plastic Surgeon right away to rule any cause of infection in the drain site. Hope this helps!
Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I recommend you to follow only your doctors instructions, it is very delicate to use different substance on your incision. Good luck :)
