have a temperature greater than 98.7. This is probably due to lack of deep breathing during the surgery and a few secretions at the base of your lungs. This can readily be remedied by the breathing during recovery, coughing if needed and early ambulation. If your temperatures persistently over 101.5 then notify your surgeon. Good luck
