Based on your description, you're on the right track. You seem to be a good candidate for breast reduction procedure. First you need to contact your insurance agent and find out whether or not breast reduction is a covered benefit.  Next you need to be evaluated by a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in breast surgery.  It sounds as though you have completed those 2 steps.  After your surgeon submits the information to your insurance company they will make a determination as to whether or not you will be covered.

It is getting tougher and tougher to get coverage or anything these days. Best to call your insurance company to find out their criteria for approval.

A letter from the primary physician and photos hasn't gotten cases approved by BlueCross in many years.  It's a great way to get a case denied and convince the patient to pay for the operation.  The criteria are much more detailed now and it takes skill, persistence and patience to get through the system.  If you wish, call the K Team and my staff will be glad to schedule a consultation at which time we can explain how the procedure works.
