I am 31 years old, do not smoke and have had a breast augmentation 1 week ago. Am healing well and have been feeling great. Is there any risk to start taking birth control or use emergency contraceptive at this point in the recovery process? (1 week post op)

It is common for patients to get muscle spasms after breast augmentation, your surgeon may be able to prescribe you a muscle relaxer to help with this. Muscle spasms don't usually lead to capsular contracture, but follow up with your surgeon.
