I had a breast augmentation 2 days ago. 450 cc under muscle. Everything was going well until today and I had a horrible muscle spasm. It has completely distorted my implant and now I'm worried I will have a capsular contracture.

At 2 days you are about 1 percent settled, healed, softened , and shaped. When concerned, always a good idea to check with your surgeon. "Drop and fluff" refers to the fact that as the skin stretches and the muscles relax, the implants move down and out slowly – about 1 percent a day. It’ll be about six weeks before they even begin to settle down, but they’ll be close to 80 percent settled at three months. Watching their progress is like watching your hair grow. You don’t see a difference in your hair growth daily, but all of a sudden you need a haircut.

The muscle is not used to being on stretch and under so much tension. This should reside in 10-14 days, if it persists, your doctor can prescribe a muscle relaxant. However, any time there is concern after a surgical procedure, I would recommend contacting the surgeon the performed the procedure.
