Hello, I am looking to feminize my face, and get rid of unwanted features. I believe that my nose, and skull bossing is part of the issue. I would like to change my snub nose into something a bit more feminine, like a celestial nose. I don't know what else needs to be done to feminize my face, and i am hoping you can point out other male features. I hope the images are big enough. I used an iphone to take the pictures. Thanks!

Answer: TG Facial Femininization. TG Facial Femininization. transgender surgery with facial feminization is something that I have done for almost 40 years. Many of the techniques including voice modification and the Irregular Trichophytic Forehead Lift with brow bone reduction were developed by us. This can raise your brows and lower your hairline as well to a feminine position. Removal of your Adams apple and raising the pitch of your voice are very important in transgender surgery. Also a rhinoplasty and chin reduction will help to give you a NATURAL feminine face. You can visit my TG website and others to see multiple examples, video and audio results.

Answer: What can be done to feminize my face? Your forehead, nose, and jaw are all quite prominent on your face. To start, I would recommend forehead contouring, lowering and rounding off the hairline, raising the eyebrows, a rhinoplasty to make the nose much smaller, and jaw contouring. From your profile photo it looks like you may have an underbite. Contouring the jaw will not affect your bite, so you may want to consider orthognathic surgery for this. In addition, I would recommend cheek implants, a lip lift and augmentation, and removing the Adam's apple. Remember that skin texture and hair distribution are also very important, so you should start doing laser hair removal or electrolysis as that is typically a long process. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you. Sarah Saxon, MD

Answer: Facial Feminization Surgery Thank you for your question and photos. You are absolutely correct in pointing out that the brow bone and nose are male features. There has been several studies that showed subtle changes in key areas are responsible for telling our brain whether we are looking at a male or female face. In your case, There are a few areas where minor adjustment can make a big difference. You don't have to do all of it at once or at all and which ones are most useful is usually determined at the consultation. In person or Skype consultation are key to finding out your goals and recommending the best option. 1. Brow bone: flatten the brow bone so it is less bossing, also contour the bony orbit to make it more feminine.2. Raise the tail of the eye brows slightly, this is called a browlift and done through same incision as brow bone3. advance the hairline forward and shorten the forehead (hairline advancement) and done through same incision as above.4. Rhinoplasty to soften the nose and give it more feminine definition5. Cheek augmentation to get high cheek lines6. possibly upper lip lift to improve the balance of the midface and get good tooth show7. Jaw contouring: This is important to give the lower face a softer feminine jaw line over the more square strong masculine jaw structure.
