Is it safe to have breast augmentation surgery a week after food poisoning

This is a question that should be addressed by your surgeon. In general, when considering an elective operation such as breast augmentation, this should be performed when the patient is in good health. This would require an assessment by your surgeon. In addition, your surgeon would want to be sure that the symptoms are not being caused by a bacterial infection. If an infection were diagnosed, any surgery should be delayed until the infection was adequately treated. Hopefully your surgeon will be able to clear you and you will be adequately recovered to proceed with the planned operation.

He will likely consider doing some lab work to determine if you are dehydrated and need electrolytes, or if you are fine. If your electrolytes are out of balance, anesthesia is not recommended. should be well tolerated if you've fully recovered from the food poisoning.  This is something that you should let your surgeon know of so he/she can make the final decision as to whether to postpone your procedure or not.   If you're feeling great, eating well,and your bowels working normally, you should be able to have your procedure.  Blood work can always be done if there is any doubt.

It is always helpful if you discuss this with your surgeon and keep a close contact with him/her, communicating your concerns with your surgeon will be helpful to you as they are the best person to address your questions and concerns since they know how the procedure will be done specifically to your anatomy. If you're temperature free for several days and your electrolytes are normal then anesthesia should be safe. Be sure to keep hydrated with electrolyte water, and continue a balanced nutrition, and vitamin supplements as instructed by your surgeon once you discuss this with him. Best of luck!

The two issues in my mind would be dehydration (mineral loss) and fever.  If you're temperature free for several days and your electrolytes are normal then anesthesia should be safe.  Checking your blood tests would seem appropriate to me for safety.  Good luck and discuss this with your surgeon.
