How long do I have to wear a bandeau? (photos)

Thanks for your question and the photos. AT DAY8 you already have a great result. The bandeau is not necessary in my opinion as you are not high riding. I don't feel like it helps implants drop at all it just covers up the top so patients are less freaked out. The reality is that if the muscle has been released, then the implants will drop coinciding with the loss of swelling in the muscle. I think you are going to be very pleased. Best of Luck!

Thanks for your inquiry and pictures. I anticipate that your surgeon will have you wear your bandeau until the implants fall to your desired position.  Implants can continue to fall for up to several months.  Please ask your surgeon what your time estimate may be, good luck.

You should follow your surgeons advice.  But, it usually takes about 6 weeks for breast implants to settle into the appropriate position.  Breast massage, proper soft support bras and activity restriction will help ensure the best results.  Follow up with your surgeon, you are very early in the post op phase.

Thank you for your question.  Every plastic surgeon has their own preferences on postoperative care.  I personally don't think upper pole bands do anything to help the implants drop and abandoned using them years ago.  It can take up to several months for the implants to drop.

In my opinion you have to wear the bandeau for as long as your implants are UNDER the muscle !!I believe that implants belong under the breast not under the muscle for a  natural and normal appearance. Implants under the muscle chronically ride higher than the normal central point of the breast. Discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon
