A prolonged anaesthetic requires you to have a well functioning lung. Generally, it takes 4-6 weeks for your lungs to reach their pre-infection status. For elective non-essential surgery, I recommend you wait at least 6 weeks from the time you recover. Good luck!
Safety is paramount in aesthetic surgery. You will receive differing opinions on the recovery time necessary to limit your risks. Discuss this with your surgeon and anesthesiologist as they can review other co-morbidities to best determine when it would be safe to proceed.
Thank you for your question. It is essential that one must be healthy and without any flu or viral infection prior to surgery. You will be undergoing a long and complicated surgery. For this reason, I would recommend 3 weeks and a complete clearing of any symptoms prior to your surgery.
Thank you for your question. I typically recommend my patients after having the flu to be symptom free for a minimum of 3 weeks. Obviously with Covid19 we are not sure when elective surgery will resume. Keep in touch with your surgeon. Best of luck to you .

Hi and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, all elective surgeries have been put on hold due to the COVID-19 epidemic. I recommend that you contact your surgeon and inform him of your symptoms so his is aware. This is a good time for you to stay at home to rest and recover from your sickness and reschedule your procedure for when it is safe. I hope this helped! Best wishes.
Thank you for your question! I recommend following up with your chosen surgeon as he or she should be aware of your symptoms to decide if you can proceed with surgery. Each surgeon has their own protocols they follow. Best of luck.
There is a moratorium on elective surgery in the state of California, and most if not all other states. You should not be having surgery now, for that reason alone, and your surgeon should be reported if he is operating. If you have or had any viral symptoms, you could be harboring the corona virus, making it unsafe for you and those taking care off you to have surgery anyway.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommends that all plastic surgeons cease providing any elective or non-essential services during he COVID-19 outbreak. This recommendation includes office-based surgical procedures and care as well as those performed in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital-based setting. Now is a good time for you to fully recuperate from the flu and reschedule your Lipo 360, TT, and BBL in the Summer.
You should contact your doctor about your upcoming procedure. It is not recommended to do any elective cases at this time due to the COVID pandemic.
